Mick Shoulder's Swing Manouche included in latest Gypsy Jazz Top 20 album

Included amongst the tracks on the above album is Mick Shoulder's Swing Manouche. Well-known, not just in the northeast of England but now worldwide!

Bossa For Zoe features Mick and Giles Strong on guitars along with Paul Edis clarinet and Mick also on bass.

Twenty cracking tracks by twenty different ensembles and, I'm pleased to say, Mick Shoulder's Swing Manouche lose nothing by comparison with the other nineteen.

The DJANGO FESTIVAL series presents the very best of gypsy jazz today, top names in the genre together with new artists deserving wider recognition. Each volume in the DJANGO FESTIVAL series is a GYPSY JAZZ TOP 20 list recommended by Jon Larsen, guitar player and founder/producer of Hot Club Records.

The French gypsy jazz guitar player DJANGO REINHARDT (1910-1953) is by many considered the greatest guitarist of all times, and his music has become a genre of its own, gypsy jazz, jazz manouche, or simply Hot Club music. There are dedicated DJANGO FESTIVALS in more than 50 countries around the world, and every year hundreds of artists are recording new albums.

The best tracks from these are compiled, published and promoted by Hot Club Records in the DJANGO FESTIVAL series. Make sure to check out all twelve volumes in the series – 240 of the best gypsy jazz tracks of all times! Hot Club Records is always open to new talent in this genre – tip us via facebook about projects that should be released on HCR. Meanwhile, enjoy this panorama of gypsy jazz today!
